SISKA offers special knowledge for all questions about karst and the underground environment (impact studies, advises, measurements, geotechnical, location of caves).
SISKA offers a learning kit about caves and underground water. Courses and conferences can be done in school, highschool, university etc. and through training of teachers.
Speleologists and institutions can use ISSKA's fauna platforms to determine animal species. These platforms provide advice and contact services and facilitate the storage of personal data in the adequate data base.

The SISKA connects nature, sport, science and culture
Our institute is unique in Switzerland. Its main purpose is to further knowledge of superficial karst (limestone landscapes) and underground karst (caves). Our activities are mainly scientific (fundamental research and applied advice). However, we also find it important to inform the general public. The SISKA has developed books, brochures, a CD-rom and a learning kit that are all available for the public.
